KLES’ International School, Belagavi has successfully witnessed   the Lodestar Interaction Sessions for students of classes 8 to 10 in August, 2019. The students along with their parents are being counseled about the right career options in the near future.

Go Green, Plant Trees!!!


To sensitize the students about the threat looming large over Mother Earth, a workshop was conducted by Mr. Sameer Majali, co-ordinator of Green Saviours - The Venugreen Project (Tree Plantation and  creation of mini forest) at KLES' International School, Belagavi on 22nd April, 2019.  He stressed on the theme, 'Hidden Life of Trees' and encouraged the students to implement this one of a kind, Green Campaign in Western Ghats.

The Conduct Of Cbse Curriculum Conveniently!!!    

The English teachers of KLES’ International School, Belagavi had participated in the Oxford workshop on 8th and 9th , 2019 to update themselves about the most interesting methods and techniques to interact with the students and the accepted norms in the question paper setting for the higher classes.
Mrs. Gayatri Khanna, the resource person, is a multi faceted person who has juggled various tasks from being a journalist, an author, an editor, a teacher at the post graduate level, an HOD and a coordinator for schools, a resource person, a consultant to conducting teacher training programmes for NCERT, SCERT, DIET and Oxford University Press.
She is presently associated with the Oxford University Press’ resource panel as an expert on English language and teaching.
The invaluable inputs in the teaching of class 9 and 10 in the literature aspects, planning the web organisers, graphic texts, the different learning outcomes in various activities was remarkable. Also the advantages of engaging the students in significant, appealing and ingenious activities according to their age groups, place and culture was stressed upon.
According to Mrs. Gayatri Khanna, the course aims essentially, at promoting the higher-order language skills for academic study as well as the workplace and the role of the teachers is to equip the students with these skills.

Nutrition In A Nutshell !!!    

A workshop was organised for the teachers of KLES' International School, Belagavi, on the topic ' Nutrition and Health Hazards of Unhealthy Diet’, by the resource person, Mrs. Mamata A H (M.Sc., Dietetics & Food Service Management, BU, India), on 10th April, 2019.

Creative Corner!    

A workshop was conducted by Dr. B.M Santosh (Ph.D, ACU Australia) on the topic 'Enhancing Creativity and Innovation in class room teaching’ on 3rd April, 2019.

  Sensitize about and Safeguard against the Dreaded Diabetes.    
  A workshop on Type I and Type II Diabetes was organized on 15th March, 2019 for the teachers of KLES' International School, Belagavi. The resource person was Dr. Madhav Prabhu, who is a Consultant in KLES' Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital, Belagavi and who also teaches at JNMC.

  The first step into Primary Education! 
Orientation Programme for parents of Banyan School was conducted by KLES' International School, Belagavi on 23rd February, 2019.
  Workshop on Health and Physical Education(HPE)    

To develop a positive attitude towards challenges, winning and losing, the CBSE Workshop on Health and Physical Education(HPE)  was hosted by KLES' International School, Belagavi on 11th February,  2019. The Resource Person was Mr. Arindam Roy Choudhary, who demonstrated the various aspects of HPE that would enable the students to attain an optimum state of health. Around 95 teachers from various CBSE schools participated in this CBSE workshop.

CBSE in consultation with MHRD and Ministry of Sports, Govt. of India has attempted to integrate and mainstream Health and Physical Education across the secondary and senior secondary levels. This is to ensure that the Physical Education component which will continue to be assessed internally, is taken up as a cross curricular interdisciplinary discipline across the four strands(viz. Games, Health and Fitness, Sewa and Health Records.

Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley, in her address stated that HPE would make students,  physically, mentally and emotionally fit along with developing their personal and social qualities that would help them to become good human beings.

  Oxford workshop on 30th November    

The English teachers of KLES’ International School, Belagavi  had participated in the Oxford workshop on 30th November, 2018 to update themselves in the English skills and ways to enhance it further.

Adolescence workshop    

An Adolescence workshop, to sensitize the students from classes VI to X about the trials and tribulations of growing up, was organised by  KLES’ Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital and MRC, Belagavi at KLES’ International School, Belagavi on 22nd November, 2018.

The resource persons for the adolescence  workshop were  Dr. Shravge, Consultant Gynaecologist and Dr. Santosh Kurbet, Consultant Urologist, KLES’ Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital and MRC, Belagavi.


  Feedback Session 

A feedback session concerning the results of the ASSET exam,  conducted in August was held on 19th November 2018 by the ASSET co-ordinator Mrs. Preeti Jain.

  Workshop on Robotics

KLES' International School, Belagavi had an exclusive and an innovative workshop on Robotics on 6th October, 2018, which was organized by  ELTOROS , Future Proof Initiative, Bangalore. The resource person was  Mr. Shivachitta  Walishetty

The workshop was basically an introductory workshop to  familiarize the students to the interesting and the  fascinating world of robotics and its technology.

Also  a hands on experience made this  intriguing technology an enjoyable one for the students.

The students of classes IX and X and the teachers of KLES' International School, Belagavi, participated in an exclusive physiotherapy workshop organized by the Institute Of Physiotherapy ( Department Of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physiotherapy) of KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research, JNMC, Nehru Nagar, Belagavi, on the occasion of World Heart Day.

Doctor Nishant Singh, Doctor Surya Menon, Doctor Chandra Bahadur, Doctor Veena Shinde and Doctor Yashvi Gada created an awareness about the heart health and heart diseases and ways to combat it.

The workshop proved to be effective and informative in today's stressful and chaotic world and the exercises demonstrated proved to be beneficial to all to lead healthy lives.

A German language workshop was organized by Max Mueller Bhavan, Bangalore for the 40 students, their parents and 17 teachers of KLES' International School, Belagavi on 21st September, 2018 in the seminar hall.

The resource persons were Ms. Wiebke Dedert from Germany and Ms. Nilakshi Baruah.

Ms. Wiebke Dedert has been studying Indology and Cultural Anthropology at Georg- August- University in Germany. She has been working as a Language teacher at Goethe Institute Max Mueller Bhavan, Bangalore, for the last 3 months and conducting various workshops for Schools and Institutions.

Ms. Nilakshi Baruah, is the Coordinator for Education Service and German programs, events and camps in various Schools and Institutions and Teacher training.

An informative presentation by Ms. Nilakshi Baruah saw  the parents, teachers and students getting well acquainted with the need to learn German language and its advantages, the undergraduate programmes, the opportunities galore, the expenditure and the visa procedures and the details, scholarships available, discounts made available, PASCH - "Schools, Partners for the future", youth camps, study trips, film festivals, music shows, exhibitions  and Exchange Programmes for the teachers.

Various activities for the students, conducted by Ms. Wiebke Dedert and Ms. Nilakshi Baruah, were thoroughly enjoyed by the students which made German learning fun and delightful.

  Targeting  the unknown and the unconquerable    

KLES’ International School, Belagavi successfully witnessed   the Lodestar Interaction Sessions I and II for parents and students of class X on 25th and 26th August, 2018. The students along with their parents are being counseled about the right career option in the near future. The senior resource persons( Mr. Kiran Bhatt, Mr. Shridhar, Ms. Anuradha Ashok Kumar, Ms. Swarna Latha, Mr. Sourav Ghosal and Mr. Raju Katta) are professionals in their relevant fields and effortlessly guide both the parents and the children to their individual goals. The children have gained immensely from these sessions and definitely hope to make the right career choice at the end of the programme in November.

  ‘Suicide in children and adolescence and its management’    

KLES’ International School, Belagavi conducted a workshop on the Topic ‘Suicide in children and adolescence and its management’ for parents of  students of classes XI and XII. The resource person was Dr. S. S. Chate (Associate Prof. of Psychiatry, JNMC Belagavi) on 18th August 2018.

  PRP Workshop    

A PRP workshop for Master Trainers on Remodelled structure of assessment for secondary  classes was conducted by CBSE, Centre of Excellence, Chennai at Love Dale Central School, Belagavi on 21st July 2018.  Resource persons  were Mr. Arindam Roy Choudhury and Mr. Jimesh Paul. The workshop was attended by Ms. Shahi G Mangalwedhe.

    'Career Guidance Workshop'    

KLES’ International School, Belagavi will conduct a Career and Education Guidance Workshop over a five month period to enable children to plan for a successful career ahead for classes VIII, IX and X. The main objective of the workshop is to make the child aware its talents and passion for a particular field and be inspired and motivated to reach out for the skies.

The first session was scheduled on 7th July,2018 for the parents and the resource person was Mr. Murli who enlightened the parents about the necessity of a career guidance programme for their children. The next session was scheduled on 18th and 19th July, 2018 in which the children were involved in an interactive session , assessment tests and on-line tests conducted by senior experts. The assessment results of the tests will be mailed to the parents shortly and individual counseling will be in the next session in August. 
The parent’s response was overwhelming and Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley was appreciated for the initiation of the workshop. Ms. Apoorva Gudi is the incharge teacher for the smooth functioning of the career guidance workshop.


    'Workshop on Traffic'    

‘Be cautions Life is precious’

KLES'  International School, Belagavi had organised a ROAD SAFETY workshop on 3rd July 2018. The road safety education specialist, Mr. R.R Patil provided professional learning and advice to teachers and students about teaching road safety and how to address road safety issues. The teaching and learning focused  on pedestrian, passenger and wheels safety.

    'Workshop on Theatre'    

‘Theatre is an art of looking at ourselves’

A theatre workshop was conducted successfully in KLES’ International School, Belagavi for class VIII students by Mr. Sundarram Arjun and Mr.Gautam Arora, eminent film makers and theatre practitioners from New Delhi. They have been conducting workshops for Theatre in Education (TIE) in various schools across Delhi. 

The focus of the workshop was to try and find the creative instinct that resides in children. It was broken down in various stages of exercises, ranging from activities on group building, concentration, trust, storytelling and impromptu image building. The pedagogy used, primarily focused on well planned and strategized exercises that were interactive in nature and a student could be expected to volunteer and perform different activities leading to a constructive conclusion by the end of the workshop. 

Around 35 students benefited from this workshop and resolved to definitely put the skills taught in the theatre workshop to the best possible use.


Orientation Programme  for Parents of students of class 1 was conducted on 23rd June 2018 at KLES’ International School, Belagavi.


The ‘Words Worth English Language  Lab’ workshop was conducted by the eminent resource person, Mr. Jasvinder Singh, CEO of the ‘Words Worth English Language  Lab’ in KLES’ International School, Belagavi  on 23rd June,2018 . 60 English teachers from 14 KLE schools in Karnataka, attended the workshop which was conducted to enhance the technical skills and also to get a knowhow of the functioning of the modules in Words Worth Lab.

The teachers immensely benefitted from this interactive workshop as Mr. Jasvinder shed light on most of the initial hiccups and the doubts, faced by the teachers and dealt them with precision and apt solutions.


KLES’ International School, Belagavi successfully hosted the CBSE Capacity Building Programme

CBSE Prospective Persons training programme in ‘Life Skills and gender sensitivity was conducted on 12th and 13th April 2018 in our esteemed school. The training programme was attended by 55 participants from nearby CBSE schools. On 12th April , the programme was formally inaugurated by Deputy Director CBSE , Mrs. Arunima Majumdar.The CBSE Regional officer, Chennai region, Mr. K. Shrinivasan addressed the workshop session through video conference.

The session was opened with an ice breaker that required the participants to pick the chits having names of animals and accordingly groups were formed based on life skills associated with those animals. The session established the meaning, need  and importance of life skills in today’s scenario. Ten core skills as identified by WHO were also addressed.

This session made us realize the logical process of what to do, how  to do, when to do and why to do.  Tools and techniques such as role plays based on stories were performed where life skills could be highlighted and the role play was analyzed by the participants.

The post lunch session dealt with situations that create  STRESS and how to overcome it.

Tools and techniques for assessing life skills were also elaborated and importance of anecdotal  records was stressed. Following  the presentation and debrief, the session was closed for the day.

On 13th April the session on Gender Sensitivity opened with an ice breaker on famous personalities and groups were formed based on proper names which were common for  both the genders. At this point they also discussed the attributes which describes males and females and also the difference between gender and sex was explained.

The session began with an exercise in which the participants had to identify the pictures of famous personalities of both the genders to create awareness on gender.

Later the participants were asked to narrate the incidents in the lives of any of the personalities they admired the most and the quality  most appealing to them. Short summaries of the same were presented.

 The session continued with a case simulation ‘Read and Reflect’ using a fictionalized case based on “Latika” . The groups  identified and discussed the issues raised in this case and tried  to determine to what  extent gender stereotype was upheld in this case and how to get rid of it.

The session then continued with role of power in gender relationship and role play was performed depicting power struggle.

The session also dealt with the understanding of terminologies that dealt with gender sensitivity in an elaborated way.

In the post lunch session, intervention which can make a school gender sensitive were discussed and also the checklist and parameters for the Gender Sensitivity were discussed.

The session also dealt with Gender Sensitivity lesson planning, general practices  for promoting Gender Sensitivity, text books, usage of Gender Sensitivity  language in school ,design of infrastructure in  Gender Sensitivity and Gender Sensitivity methodologies.

The necessity  and gravity of POSCO Act was  also discussed.

Lastly as a closing activity the participants were asked  to reflect on the interventions presented and consider areas in which we all could  collaborate to address the major issues .Certificates of participation were then awarded to each of the participants by Dr. Preeti Doddwad, the enterprising coordinator of KLE schools. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Arun Jadhav.

    ' Workshop on Cyber Crime' 

Workshop on topic 'Cyber crime' was conducted by Mr. Hitesh Dharamdasani on 7th April, 2018 for classes VIII to X.

  Dental Workshop 2018  

KLES’ International School, Belagavi witnessed a flurry of activity right from day one of its reopening for the new academic session, 2018-19 on 4th April, 2018.  A workshop on dental hygiene was successfully implemented for students from classes VI to IX. The resource   person was none other than the enterprising, Dr. Preeti Doddwad ,  the  dynamic coordinator of KLE schools who visited the school in the morning session with her eminent team of doctors. The students were enlightened about their dental hygiene and ways to avoid decays and cavities. The students benefited immensely from the workshop and pledged to take good care of their teeth in the future.

It is rightly said that we should never stop learning, Because life never stops teaching!

Various workshops for teachers of KLES’ International School, Belagavi, were conducted from 27th October,2017 to 9th November,2017, in Mathematics and Science subjects  by eminent resource persons.

The Mathematics workshop was conducted on 27th and 28th October, 2017 by the resource person, Dr. Inder K. Rana of Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai.

The workshop dealt with a wide range of topics from real numbers, geometry , linear equations and conditional statements.

The workshop was attended by Mrs. Asma K., Mrs. Neelam Kadam and Mrs. Madhuri H.at V. L. Katti Institute of Dental Sciences.

The Science workshop was conducted at IFD on 8th and 9th November,2017.

It was a great opportunity for all these teachers to explore new ideas and will be quite a challenge to put it into actual practice. The suggestions provided by the resource persons would definitely prove worthwhile in the long run.

The teachers who attended the workshop on 8th November, 2017 were Mrs. Uma Keshwani, Mrs. Ashwini Patil, Mrs. Samina, Mrs.Jyoti and Mrs, Bhagyashree.

   ‘Workshop Conducted for the year 2017-18’    
    'Women Abuse Workshop'    

A workshop on ‘Abuse at workplace’ and ‘ Waste Management’  was conducted by the Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Asst. Registrar of KLE Hospital, Belagavi and  IFD coordinator, Mrs. Ashwini Patil on 21st  September, 2017.

    'Science Workshop'    

science workshop was conducted for teachers teaching classes III to V on 30th August  2017 at IFD, Lingaraj college campus, Belagavi. The resource person were Mrs. Ashwini Patil and Mrs. Anita L. The main objectives of the workshop were improving teacher's attitude, interpersonal relationship, teacher's predisposition, sensitizing the teaching learning outcome to the students diverse needs and creativity in teaching science.

    'Social Science Workshop'    

Social Science Workshop was conducted for teachers teaching classes  IV to X at IFD,

 Belagavi on 17th August 2017. The resource person was Mrs. Ashwini Patil.

The workshop was indeed educative and enriching.

    'CBSE Workshop'    

A Workshop was conducted by General Body Meeting North Karnataka Sahodaya on 9th September, 2017 at Shri. Manjunatheshwar Central School, Dharwad.

It was an interactive discussion about dividing member schools into different zones and  forming smaller Sahodayas under the umbrella of NKS. The teacher training programmes by COE were also dealt with in an impressing and innovative manner.

This unique workshop was attended by Principal Mrs. Dipti Ingley and the Social Science HOD, Mrs. Renuka M Nannoji.

    'Workshop On Personality Development'    

Shree Renuka Sugar Development Foundation’s CBSE School, Munoli,   Saundatti had organized a workshop on personality development for all the North Karnataka CBSE staff on 12th August 2017. The resource person was Mr. Jeetendra Juyal from Ghaziabad, UP. The objective of the workshop was to enrich the teachers with skills to equip themselves and their students in the important aspects of enhancing personality in today’s competitive world.

    'Wordsworth Workshop'    

Wordsworth workshop, an English activity lab was conducted  for the English teachers on 9th and 10th August 2017 by the  resource person Mr. Mageshwaran S.  to foster the teaching techniques and enhance the skills of the students and the teachers alike in listening, speaking , reading and writing  aspects.

    'Ganesh Workshop'    

‘Be the change, Go for eco-friendly Ganesh’

A workshop was conducted by a team from Aniruddh Bapu foundation, Mumbai, on ‘Eco-friendly Ganesh Idol making ’ for students from classes Std V to X on 21st August, 2016 in the School Foyer. The children were instructed to create beautiful Ganesha idols from bio-degradable items which included edible colours, white powder, paper pulp, edible gum and moulds.

The resourse person enlightened the students about the necessity to derive the pleasure from the fact that we are surrounded by universal energy and it is the duty of the human beings to recognize this fact and pour our heart and soul in all our daily activities right from a simple activity like painting to diverse activities like creating and designing the Ganesha idol. The children watched fascinatedly as the unique creation came into being and applauded whole-heartedly.

The Principal, Mrs. Deepti Ingley impressed upon the students the uses of using the bio-degradable  products and doing our bit in conserving nature and also reiterated the hazardous effects on mankind when the synthetic products containing harmful chemicals were used.

A capacity building workshop was conducted on 5th August 2017 at KLS Public School, Peeranwadi, Belagavi, stressing on life skills through self awareness, effective communication, problem solving, critical thinking, and creative thinking, empathy, decision making, managing and coping with stress. Resource Persons were Mr. Sivakumar, Principal, Mysore and Mr. Vijayakumar N B, Principal, Bellary. The workshop was attended by Mrs. Neeta Choudhari and Mrs. Jenifer Patil.

    'Workshop On Defense'    

‘Offense wins games, but defense wins Championships’

A Self Defense session was conducted for the students from Grade 5 to Grade 10 on 21st July 2017. Self Defense World champions Sensei Salil Nadkarni, Mr. Hemen Lohane and Mr. Kaushik Pandit taught the students, various techniques of protecting/defending themselves in tough situations. Various activities in self defense were performed by the students.

  Workshop for Zumba Fitness

Zumba fitness classes were conducted for the students from class I to X by Mr. Karan and Mrs. Rasika on 20th and 22nd July 2017. The students tapped their feet to the music and enjoyed dancing on the Zumba steps.

  Workshop On CBSE  New Assessment Pattern

A workshop was conducted on the revised assessment structure, introduced by CBSE in place of CCE on 29th June 2017. The resource person,  Shri V. Ramanathan (Principal Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Kothalli) explained the new changes in assessment pattern and also dealt with the ways to implement those changes.

International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is observed on 26th  June every year to raise awareness about illicit drug abuse and trafficking. The theme of this year will be “Listen first”. 'Listen First' is an initiative to increase support for prevention of drug use that is based on science and is thus an effective investment in the well-being of children and youth, their families and their communities. Listening to children and youth is the first step to help them so that they will grow healthy and safe. KLE International School, Belagavi conducted an awareness workshop on ‘Drug Abuse Problems’ for  Grade IX  and X   by Dr. Shashikala C. Wali (Asst. Prof.) Dept. of Pharmacy Practice, KLE University College of Pharmacy on 27th June 2017.

  Sajan Shah Workshop    

KLE International School had the opportunity to welcome Mr. Sajan Shah, a young, energetic motivational speaker who believes in transforming lives and leading the world together. A workshop was conducted in this regard for the students, from classes  VII to X on 14th June,2017. He focused on the need to uplift oneself, to go beyond the limit and not to give up. He stated that each and every individual had a lot many qualities and strengths in themselves. It was time to realize that and work on it. He told the students to dream big  and stay true to their dreams .He also told them to be committed to their work which would later help in building courage and self confidence .

    Workshop On School Cinema    



    Workshop on School Cinema was conducted for teachers from LKG to VII Grade by Resource person Mr. Manjunath Dikshit and Mr. Sudharshan on 8th June 2017.
    They stressed on School Cinema as a film-based module that makes learning lessons of life an entertaining experience. They also reaffirmed life skills & values for students and educators through award-winning films and engaging activities.

    World Environment Day    

Just as small things make a huge difference so also a tree planted today will definitely go a long way in nurturing our future generations.
The Eco-club of KLES’ International School, Belagavi, celebrated the World Environment Day  on 7th June, 2017.
A workshop was conducted on this occasion by Ms. Bharati Hardi about the seed ball  plantation. Ms. Bharati is presently the Secretary of the Belgaum Gardeners’ society, which was founded by Mrs.Ashatai Kore and group in the year 1986. She is also the member of Belgaum Horticultural club. The workshop aimed to inculcate the lifelong discipline in bringing in a clean and green revolution. She reiterated the need to plant  eco-friendly trees of Indian origin such as Kadamba, Ashoka, Peepal, Banyan and Mango.
Principal, Mrs. Deepti Ingley expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the guest, Ms.Bharati Haradi by gifting her a sapling and expressing the hope for a greener and an eco-friendly environment.

A Parent orientation programme for Grade XI and XII was conducted on 22nd Dec. 2016 by the Principal Dipti Ingley and Mr. Narendra Kumar for the parents and students of Grade X. The orientation outlined the beginning with the Science stream for class XI from the Academic Session 2017-19. “The art of Communication is the language of leadership” Workshop was organized at JSS, Dharwad by efficient Resource Person Ms. Manaswini Shridhar to enhance communication and language skills of the students. This workshop was scheduled on 3rd Dec. 2016 and was attended by Ms. Sarojini D and Swati A.

An interactive session was conducted for the parents of LKG and UKG on 26TH November 2016. The parents were briefed about the academics and co-curricular activities taught during the first term of the academic session.

‘Handwriting is an Imprint of the Self on the Page’


A beautiful handwriting speaks volume about a person. In today’s digital world, we have completely forgotten the art of writing well. The teachers were given insights into writing beautifully with the cursive script by Ms. Shahien Taj Shaikh on 23rd Nov. 2016. She taught and reiterated the good old techniques in writing upper and lower case letters along with lengthy passages.


Workshop on Teaching and Learning Methods



Our Pre-primary workshop was held at KLE School Gokak on 5th Oct. 2016. The main objective of the workshop was to nurture the pre-primary teachers in handling academics and the little buds. The participants were Mrs.Triveni (LKG) and Mrs. Janis (UKG).The session was mainly focused on the following points:

  • Child Abuse

  • Child Psychology

  •  Teaching and Learning methods

  • Handling the parents in an effective way.

 The talk on ‘Child Abuse’ and ‘Child Psychology’ were conducted by Mrs. Anupa Kowshik (Principal of Gokak). The Teaching and Learning methods along with different activities were conducted by the Kindergarten Faculty members. The main agenda of the workshop was to give the teachers guidelines on how to handle the present day generation, who are so full of energy and eager to learn so much at school.

       The workshop helps us to go about with our teaching in an effective manner and usage of modern methods of teaching aids at pre-primary.  





‘‘INTACH HERITAGE CLUB WORKSHOP’ was organized by INTACH Belagavi Chapter on 26th Sept 2016. Principal Ms. Dipti Ingley ,Ms. Sarojini D and Ms Renuka N  attended  the  session.  Resource person Mrs. Purnima Datt briefed the teachers on several aspects of heritage like conservation, documentation and awareness drives. School will soon be incorporating Heritage club which would stimulate and spearhead heritage awareness and conservation among the students. Round about 40 faculties in and around Belagavi CBSE Schools attended this session.

 Workshop on ‘Basic Life skills’


KLE University Dept. of Education for Health Professional conducted workshop on ‘Basic Life skills’  for teachers of schools in Belagavi district, Principal Mrs. Dipti Ingley, Mrs. Sanjivini Despande & Ms. Apoorva Gudi attended this session on 16th and 17th Sept. 2016.

The workshop was conducted by Principal  Prakash Kadkol , BCA Lingraj Campus Belagavi. Topics discussed during the session reflected on the values to be inculcated among the school children.

A productive session on ‘being masterful teacher’ was given by Mr. Mahesh Mashal (Eduprenur, Corporate Trainer Dharwad)  on the following day 17th Sept. 2016.

 Dr. Spoorti Mastiholi (Psychotherapist, Research officer, KLE  R F B) and Ms. M.R.Banahatti (Prof. & head, dept. of Psychology Lingaraj College Belagavi) gave a session on  ‘Effective Communication’ and ‘Coping with stress’.


  “Evidence of Assessment” 


North Karnataka Sahodaya’ had organized a workshop on “Evidence of Assessment” on 10th Sept. 2016.This workshop was on the documentation of evidences of assessments conducted for the students in the CBSE school’s as per the CBSE (Delhi) norms. The resource person was Mr. Arindom Roy Choudhary (President North Karnataka Sahodaya) at Kalpavruksha Model School Bailhongal. Principal Ms.Dipti Ingley, Ms. Shashi and Ms. Farhin attended the workshop. It was indeed a productive session that covered essential areas of assessment.


  “X–Seed Training ” 


X–Seed Training was conducted for faculties’ of KLE Schools by resource person Mr. Venugopal Rao [Regional Manager, AP] on 10th Sept. 2016 at KLES’ International School Belagavi.
A total of 37 teachers of various KLE Schools attended the session. Teachers were briefed on the following five essential steps:

  • Types of reading and Discussion
An interactive session was conducted at the end.


   “Classroom Management workshop.” 



‘Do your part to fill a Heart’
Classroom Management workshop for the teachers was organized on 24th August. Resource person was Ms. Ashwini from KLE IFD. She briefed the teachers with the techniques involved in creating a safe, inclusive environment for all students in order to build strong, positive relationships with students which is only possible by understanding the unique mindset, the multi-cultural and individual differences within a classroom.

Workshop on Adolescence for students of grade VIII was organized by IFD resource person Ms Ashwini Patil on  24th August 2016. This workshop basically aimed to empower and educate teenagers by providing  them with the skills they need to develop into healthy, responsible and positive young adults.

Workshop on Successful Parenting was organized by ISCKON team on 6th of August 2016 the resource person was Mr Sharad Prasad. It was a very fruitful session for the parents and teachers as it dealt with how the children can be brought up in an enjoyable way and methods on and help one move from the mind set of stressful parenting to joyful parenting.

                               ‘ Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation   



An informative, enlightening workshop on Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation was organized  at Jain Heritage School Belagavi on 15th & 16th July 2016 by Mr. Manpreet & Mr. Manjeet. The workshop addressed the need of significance of CCE an imperative to meet the requirement of preparing today’s student for tomorrow. The workshop in addition to reinforcing the value of CCE, addressed classroom transaction, different types of assessment ,the teaching & assessment of life skills and attitudes ,documentation recording & classroom management. The same workshop was conducted by Ms. Farhin & Ms. Belinda for all the teachers of our school on 28th & 29th July 2016.

                               ‘Super Brain Yoga and Meditation on Twin’on Twin’  



‘Super Brain Yoga and Meditation on Twin Hearts’ session was conducted in KLE International School Belagavi. The resource persons haled from Yoga Vidya Pranic  Healing  Foundation, Mrs. Sushma Patil and Mrs. Sonia Khurana.  Students of VII TO X Grade attended this session. This system is said to develop and enhance brainpower beyond its current boundaries that provides the energy fuel to keep the brain fit and functional. The techniques are priceless and contribute greatly to the well being of the students.

Work shop on first-aid And Medical health checkup camp



           KLE International School, Belagavi had organized a workshop on the importance and application of First-Aid for the students of Class IX and X on 21/8/2015. Dr. Vikrant and Dr. Manjunath from KLE Institute of science explained practically to the students the importance, types and how to give first-aid to the students. Values like these will really help students in future to help someone, if needed, and save them from further suffering.
Medical Health checkup was organised for children  Std I to X.

           Workshop conducted on Stress Management by Mrs. Aswini Patil from IFD  for Std IX and  X students on  19th August 2015 in the School Seminar hall.
Helping the students to deal with the behavioral changes during adolescence and to cope up with the stress related to studies & relationship.



English Workshop Report



           A workshop was conducted by KLS Public School on 18th August 2015 in their school premises on 'Communicative English'.
Two teachers from our institute KLES'International Belagavi, Seema Jalgar and Mrs Shobha Khande had also participated in the workshop.
Teachers representing various schools from various places like Ramnagar, Khanapur, Gokak, Athani, Hubli, Nippani and Hattargi were also present.
Ms Soudamini also stressed on the importance of teaching time management to the students.
The teachers were provided with study materials and a certificate of participation at the end of the session.
It was a fruitful and enlightening experience for all the teachers present there to be guided by such great mentors. Looking forward to many more such events.



Workshop on Science Apparatus


               Workshop conducted on by  Mr. Sridhar  for all KLES’ Institute Science Dept. teachers on  18th August 2015 in our School Seminar hall.

He explained the demands of 21st century education that teacher has not be just master’s of their profession but also be the artist of their subject. He showed exhibits that will create hypothesis among the students and also explained how to apply them.  



Yamaha Children Safety Program  organised by Yamaha Motors Pvt. Ltd.


                KLE International School organized a workshop in association with Yamaha Motors Pvt. Ltd. to create awareness among students about Traffic Rules on 17th Aug 2015 for Std IV and V  in the school premises.

Volunteers from Yamaha Motors stressed about following traffic rules among children by displaying a video. There was an interactive session with the students where they were asked various questions about traffic rules.

               Pre-Primary Workshop was held at KLE School, Gokak.  During  this session all the teaching methods and techniques  related to Pre-Primary session were explained. Attended by  Mrs .Triveni.M (KLE's Int. School, Belagavi LKG Tr.)



Workshop  for 38 Teachers from in and around Belagavi  on “Phonetics” 2015-16


                  6 hours workshop for Language Teachers faculty development programme was organized in KLE International School Belagavi on 4th August  2015 in school seminar hall.

                 38 Teachers from various schools from in and around Belgaum were  enlightened with application of phonetics in teaching so that it transits over to students in being fluent and good speakers of English. The Resource person was Mrs Monica K.



Workshop on Education Computer



                  Education Computer Smart Class CTS had organized a Workshop for all the staff members, on 28th July and 29th July 2015 in our school, by resource person Mr. Kiran Deshpande , Area Manager Belagavi . This workshop was to make the teachers comfortable with Education Computer Smart Class.



Orientation Programme



                  KLE INTERNATIONAL School organized an orientation programme for the parents of class I on   23rd July 2015. Our Principal Mrs. Arti Mishra welcomed the gathering and addressed the parents about  the Academic and co-curricular activities followed in our school.

                  Workshop on XSEED for Parents on 20th July 2015 in school seminar hall by Xseed Co-ordinator Ms. Veena Hanan. She discussed about how the method of learning can benefit children, not just for the present time but also to make them ready for what the future holds.



Workshop for Teahers on “ Phonics”- 2015-16



                  Workshop on "Phonics and Spelling Rules" for all English Teachers from L.Kg to X Std on 10th July 2015 in school seminar hall by Mrs. Monica. The workshop was very informative which included information on:

  • Understanding Phonics.
  • Teaching Phonics Step by Step.

  • Spelling rules in Phonics.

Grey Caps Workshop 2015-2016



                Grey Caps Publication had organized a G.K Workshop on 25th June 2015 in our school seminar hall. The resource person Mr. Thakur shared the importance of General Knowledge in today’s generation. Teachers from various KLE's Schools attended this workshop.

Workshop on Parenthood



                KLE INTERNATIONAL School Recently organized a workshop for parents on Parenting. The resource person was Venkata Subba Rao.V He is the Director Inno Tech Learning Solution Pvt Ltd he is also an Advisor for Children University, Gujarat. Sir Venkata Subba Rao has trained around 50,000 people across the globe various aspects of TLP. He spoke on the three IQs that is Intelligent Quotient, Emotional Quotient and the Spiritual Quotient that plays role in the children in today’s competitive technology world. It is very important as a parent to be aware of how we react towards children in different situations. Spiritual Quotient also plays an equal important role in molding the young minds in this materialistic world. Sir Venkata Subba Rao stressed on Howard Gardeners Theory of Intelligence which states that there are 8 types of Intelligence and Each individual possesses a unique blend of all the intelligences.



Workshop on parenting and child abuse


          KLE INTERNATIONAL School organized a workshop for parents and teachers on parenting and child abuse conducted by Dr Shailaja Shastri on 11th December 2014.who is an M.Phil and P.hd in Psychology and is a professor at the Department of Psychology Jain University .She spoke on the challenges parents face when they try to raise children who are independent.

        Dr. Shailaja goes on to say that there is an inbuilt curiosity in child which led’s to constant clash between child and adult and the child expresses the need to express independence and they grow up to be confident self-reliant, proactive and focused adult.


Vedic Value workshop was organized on 22nd April 2014 in school premises for IX and X STD children. It was conducted by    Vrijeshwar Das a highly qualified person who is at present a member of the ISCKON temple Belagavi.
