‘Empowering Leadership’
On July 26th, 2023, KLES' International School,Belagavi held its Investiture ceremony, a momentous event filled with pride and enthusiasm. The occasion marked the appointment of the new student council for the academic year. The ceremony was conducted with great fervor, with students, teachers, and parents in attendance to witness this significant event.
The Chief guests, IPS Hanumanth Raaya, Ms Anna Kuhnt, Deputy Director/ Head of language Department at Goethe-Institute, MsNeelakshi Baruah, Project Co-ordinator, Goethe-Institute/Max Mueller Bhavan and Ms Rupali Kagi, Principal of KLE Lingaraj School, were entertained with a welcome song and dance to set the right note to the much-acclaimed event which was the cynosure of all eyes; parents and well-wishers alike. The investiture ceremony commenced with a formal procession, where the outgoing student council members handed over their responsibilities to the newly elected leaders. The Badge ceremony and Torch ceremony created the right impetus by infusing renewed vigor and energy amongst the new cabinet. The newly appointed student council members were adorned with sashes and badges, symbolizing their positions and responsibilities within the school. The Head Boy and Head Girl addressed the gathering and promised to contribute their best in setting new benchmarks.

The National Science Day is celebrated on 28th February to mark the invention of 'Raman Effect' by the renowned Indian physicist , Sir C.V. Raman. The theme for National Science Day 2023 is ' Global Science for Global Wellbeing'. It aims to motivate the students to gain minds-on experience in the field of science.
The students effectively conveyed the theme of Global Science for Global Wellbeing by staging a skit, rendering speeches on our greatest scientists and portraying the necessity of being globally sensitive through songs and presentations. The Principal and HOD's were gifted saplings to promote a green and clean environment.
The pledge was administered by Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley who remarked about our country's emerging global role and the urgent need to increase awareness regarding Science and Technology. The wellbeing of the world in the future is dependent on our sustainable practices in the present.
An exhibition was held to ignite the scientific temperament in the young minds. The students exhibited various models and projects on Robotics, Nanotechnology and Environmental concerns.
Miss Sharadi Hegde was felicitated on this momentous occasion as she won the I prize at the prestigious Inter School Science Exhibition at Veerabhadreshwara English Medium School, Godachi.
KLE Society's DAAYITVAM organised by KLE schools at Belagavi is an initiative by KLES' English Medium School's Coordinator, Dr Preeti Doddwad for the inclusion of children with special needs in the mainstream. Multiple fun activities brought in cheer and well being amongst all those associated with the event on 25th March 2023 at KLES' International School.
It was overwhelming and empowering for the entire team of KLE fraternity to engage all in these joyful endeavors. Several NGO's, schools and institutes participated in various cultural, sports and fun events organised to celebrate and cherish life.

Parting ways was never easy and the farewell for classes 10 and 12 brought in fresh memories about days gone by. The nostalgia of joy and apprehension experienced at school right from the initial years to present, set forth a series of recollections that continued to haunt the mind for a long time. The fact that one would be devoid of the security and comfort of the school atmosphere henceforth, was difficult to decipher and this thought was so overwhelming that for a moment one wished for the time to stand still.
The juniors set the right note for the farewell of their seniors by putting up a great show of talent and entertainment. The oath taking ceremony and candle march were appealing and enduring for their ethos and pathos. Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley commented on the special place that each of the students had occupied in their hearts over the years and assured them that the doors of KLESIS would always be open to them even as they ventured out into the big world to realize their dreams.

Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi interacted in the 6th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha on 27th January, 2023 with students, teachers and gave them his tips on how to deal with exam stress, student-teacher connection, social media distractions and more.
Pariksha pe Charcha was telecast live from Talkatora Indoor stadium, New Delhi and watched by students and teachers at KLES' International School, Belagavi, from 11 am onwards.
The 74th Republic Day is a matter of great pride for Indians, as we look back at the progress and achievements garnered over the past years since our independence. Being recognized as the next superpower is by no means a minuscule task and we indeed appreciate the sacrifices and commitment of our national leaders who have placed India on the global map of name and fame. The Constitution of India came into effect on 26th January, 1950. This replaced the Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India, thus turning the nation into a republic separate from British Raj.
To commemorate this historic day, KLES' International School, Belagavi, paid rich tributes to all the patriots who shaped our rich legacy.
Master Advait Dalvi who bagged the Gold medal in the 50 mtr. back stroke at the CBSE National Swimming Championship, Gujarat, was felicitated on this occasion for his success at the National Level.
Also the Mathlon 2022-2023 winners, Ms Saanvi Kumbar, Ms Ira Prabhu and runners-up, Ms Likitha S, Ms Tapasya Pujar were applauded for their brilliant performance in the quiz.
Patriotic songs, dances and speeches were the highlight of the event which marked patriotic fervor and gaiety.
Principal Mrs Dipti Ingley spoke about the relevance of celebrating Republic Day in present times with great gusto, the onus of which lay on each and every one of us so that India would certainly be a force to reckon with.
The Annual Day Celebration 2022-23 of KLES' International School, Belagavi, was a spectacular event which received praise and appreciation from all quarters due to well-conceived ideas and mind-blowing presentation by the students and staff alike. It was a 2- day event at Jirge Auditorium, JNMC Campus, Belagavi.
The Chief Guests for the primary and secondary sections on 23 rd December 2022, were Mrs S. Aruna (President of Air Force families Welfare Association)
and Col. Vinay Taneja (Secretary, Station Officers Institute. Belagavi) respectively, along with the Guests of Honor, Dr. Alka Kale (Principal, Dental College, Belagavi), and Dr. Basavraj G Katageri (Principal, KLE Dr. M.S. Sheshgiri College of Engineering).
Dr. Prabhakar Kore (Chairman, KLE Society) graced the occasion in the evening session and applauded the brilliant performances of the students. Dr. Preeti Doddwad(Coordinator, KLES' English Medium Schools) graced the occasion on 24 th December 2023 for the middle school section Annual day celebration and appreciated the inexhaustible efforts of the students who made the day memorable for everyone.
The Chief Guest was Brig Joydip Mukherjee(Commandant, The Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Center, Belagavi) along with the Guests of Honor, Joint Secretary, KLE Society ,Mr. Sunil S Jalalpure (Principal, KLE College of Pharmacy, Belagavi) and Dr. Veereshkumar Nandgoan (Principal, KLE Nursing College, Belagavi).
The Annual Day was indeed a day to be cherished and regaled in, by one and all, as affirmed by Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley, as the vibrant culture of India, depicted in the 2-day programme was portrayed in such stunning forms that it lifted the spirits of one and all, compelling everyone present to dance for joy and feel proud to be an Indian!

Constitution Day- Samvidhāna Divasa, also known as 'National Law Day', is celebrated in India on 26th November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26th November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on 26th January, 1950. KLES' International School, Belagavi, celebrated the Constitution day on 26th November 2022 by conducting a special assembly which was conducted by class 8 students. The pledge was administered wherein the students vowed to abide by the tenets in the constitution. The students also enlightened all about the values and principles enshrined in the Constitution.
The Childrens' Day Celebrations at KLES' International School, Belagavi, were thoroughly enjoyed by the students from classes I to XII, who were dressed in their traditional best.
The celebrations included a special assembly, songs, dances and also a fun filled food court, complete with all mouth watering delicacies.
The students enjoyed the lovely treats immensely and the school was agog with the clatter of happy feet and carefree laughter, throughout the day. Truly, a day to cherish by the young and the old alike!
The exchange of ideas and cultural thoughts and practices between the students of KLES' International School, Belagavi, and the Spanish guest, Ms Annette Kreuz Smolinski, Clinical Psychologist and Director of the Centre for Phasic Family Therapy, Fase 2, along with Dr Prakash Patil, was an instant hit with the students as it threw light on the cross cultural aspects of communication and management. The day started with a short assembly where the guests were welcomed and felicitated by Principal , Mrs Dipti Ingley.
Kannada Rajyotsava, which falls on November 1 every year, is the day that Karnataka state was formed and is hence called the the Karnataka Formation Day. The Rajyotsava awards, processions, hoisting the Karnataka flag and cultural events mark this great event.
KLES' International School, Belagavi, too commemorated the formation of the state of Karnataka and celebrated the values on which it was formed: integrity, solidarity, & brotherhood.
The students beautifully portrayed the cultural and spiritual ethos of Karnataka through their speeches, songs, dance, skits and the inspirational messages by our very own reformers for a united community and pledged to carry forward this rich legacy with accountability & transparency.
Diwali, the festival of lights was celebrated with fun and gaiety as the school bore a festive look with diyas, lighting, beautiful rangoli's, colourful lanterns, recitation of prayers, lighting of fireworks, exchanging gifts and all the students pledging to devote themselves to spreading happiness and donating to a charitable cause.
The Class 11 and class 12 too contributed in a significant way by spending time fruitfully with the children of Mahesh Foundation and donated essential items to these needy children under their flagship, 'Helping Hands'.

BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) has taken the initiative of creating the Standards Club in Educational Institutions.
Various activities are conducted in the Club in which the young talents get Learning Opportunities in the field of quality and standardization. The inauguration ceremony of the Standards Club was held at KLES' International School, Belagavi, on 11th October, 2022, followed by the Standards Writing Competition.
Mr. Ashutosh Agarwal, Scientist / Assistant Director at the Bureau of Indian Standards, was the Chief Guest of the function. Thirty students of the Standards Club took part in the competition and were successful in getting a good know-how of the standardization process.
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti, the staff and NCC Cadets of KLES' International School, Belagavi, performed the photo pujan and participated in the cleanliness drive to commemorate the spirit of unity and brotherhood.
Desh Apnayen Actizens Club Democracy Activity conducted on 24th August 2022 for classes VI and VII.
Desh Apnayen was founded by Mr. Vallabh Bhanshali, Co-founder and Chairman of ENAM Securities, and his associates in 2015. The vision is to co-create Democracy 2.0, by building an accountable citizenry and society around three important themes: citizenship education, volunteerism and neighbourhood engagement.
The deserving candidates were invested with special powers on the occasion of 'Desh Apnayen Actizens Club Investiture Ceremony 2022-23'. Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley and the Social Science HOD, Mrs. Renuka Nannoji, presided over the ceremony as chief guests and congratulated the elected members.
Miss Riya Vernekar and Miss Aarushi Prasad, of class 7 anchored the event with great finesse.
Miss Krupa Khot (class7 ) and Miss Saachi Heda (class7) were elected the President and Vice- President of Desh Apnayen Actizens Club, respectively.
The Oath was administered by both the President and Vice President who pledged to serve their country with sincerity and dedication along with their comrades.
The spirit of patriotism could be perceived in each and every heart at KLES' International School, Belagavi, as the flag was hoisted and the national anthem was sung with great pride and gusto.
The grand celebrations implemented by the Modi government on the occasion of India's 75th Independence Day, have been underway since the past year, under the unique program "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" which saw light on 12th March 2021 at Sabarmati Ashram, which once housed the father of our Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and will culminate after the 75-week countdown and end on 15th August 2023.
The past year saw a flurry of activities at KLESIS with the students participating in various competitions and activities from drawing, singing and dancing to speeches, post card writing, poster and slogan writing, best out of waste and a lot more. The involvement and creativity of the students was mind blowing.
The task of shouldering the responsibility of continuing with the rich legacy of Non-Violence and Swaraj, showered on to us by our great leaders has to be nurtured with great care by the younger generation. We cannot let the sacrifices of our patriots, go waste and have to dream big to achieve great heights.
On this momentous occasion let us all pledge to serve with the best motive for a flourishing and a vibrant India, free from corruption, poverty, prejudices concerning women and children and the indiscriminate practices involving our environment.
The students displayed their patriotic fervour through a host of activities on the eve of the 75th Independence Day under the 'Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav' programme at JNMC.

KLESIS is indeed fortunate to pay a worthy tribute to this trendsetter who has mastered world class excellence, by celebrating his 75th birthday with loving care and compassion.
The KLESIS was agog with a plethora of amazing activities which displayed the children's love and respect towards Honourable Chairman Sir and also their commitment to the enterprising KLE institution. It was a brilliant showcasing of the best art with classes I to X, presenting beautiful birthday cards, creative candle decorations, lovely birthday messages, tempting muffin decorations, marvelous gift bags and birthday caps, unique 'best out of wastes' and classic flower arrangements. In class 7, a special kabaddi match for the boys and a kho kho match for the girls was organised on this memorable occasion. A special assembly enumerating the remarkable achievements of the great legend, Dr. Prabhakar Kore, was conducted with great gusto and the whole school reverberated with the melodious birthday songs sung in unison during the 'cake cutting' ceremony.
The KLESIS Scouts and Guides team delivered food packets to the Corporation workers ( Swatchta Karamchari, Mahanagar Palike, Belagavi), which escalated the spirit of indebtedness and cooperation to great heights.
The NCC cadets visited Smt. Chinnamma B Hiremath, old age home, Basavana Kudachi, Belagavi and offered their services through donations in the form of food and other valuable items of daily use and making it a worthwhile visit by spending quality time with the residents.
Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley, and the staff of KLESIS celebrated the 75th birthday of the great doyen, Dr. Prabhakar Kore, with much fanfare, keeping in mind the selfless service to society and the dedicated efforts of KLEites to nurture a prosperous future and harness the best possible resources for a self-sustained society.
Miss Ovee Sadarjoshi of KLES' International School, Belagavi, studying in class 10, has launched her first alphabet song album which is a kids song but for everybody. Her Talent was identified by the genius and the architect behind the conceptualization of Svan Music Brewery, Mr Ashok Paranjape.
India marks 23 years of triumph over the Kargil War fought against Pakistan, this year. On July 26, 1999, the gallant Indian soldiers recaptured several mountains, perched at high altitudes in the Himalayas, that were invaded by the Pakistani intruders in Kashmir. This day celebrates the victory and sacrifices of our soldiers. The NCC unit of KLES' International School Belgaum, commemorated the valiant soldiers and paid tribute to our glorious victory by participating in various competitions showcasing Patriotism, Discipline and Brotherhood.
DESH APNAYEN ACTIZEN CLUB ELECTION FOR PRESIDENT AND VICE-PRESIDENT-2022-23

The students from class 7 of KLES' International School, Belagavi, had campaigned for the posts of President and Vice- President on 7th July 2022. The students of class 6 and 7 cast their votes and selected their representatives for the 'The Desh Apnayen ACTIZENS’ Club. The Club fosters students’ 21st Century skills in a variety of ways, and enables them to become ACTIZENS – alert, informed and active citizens.
KLES' International School, Belagavi, celebrated the 8th International Yoga Day to create awareness on physical and mental health. The event was organised by the Department of Physical Education and Sports. Chief Guest, Shri. Anand Aralikatti, the well known Yoga Guru, teaching the fine nuances of yogic asanas at RPD College, Belagavi, presided over the session. Covid-19 protocol was followed during the entire session.
To exhibit solidarity to the "Yoga for Humanity" mission, the students of class VIII participated in a mass Yoga session at Suvarna Vidhan Soudha, which was organized by the District Administration, Belagavi under the "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav" campaign.
'All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them' KLES’ International School, Belagavi, inducted the Student Council with powers to discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them, on 10th June 2022 through a formal Investiture Ceremony. These budding young members are the leaders of tomorrow who don the mantle of leadership and contribute immensely for the harmonious existence of an advanced society.
Colonel Jonathan Benjamin, the Training Battalion Commander at the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre, Belgaum, graced this prestigious occasion as the Chief Guest and congratulated the newly vested members by instilling in them the virtue of aiming high and reaching out for the stars.
Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley appreciated the dedication and tenacity of the elected members and wished them the best in their endeavors to achieve the most coveted milestones.
The Investiture Ceremony was also bedecked with cultural songs, dances and speeches by the parents of the newly appointed Council to make the event all the more memorable.
The Head Boy and the Head Girl promised to travel the challenging road ahead, together and work in unison with their comrades to keep the school flag flying high up in the sky with love, dignity and grace.
KLE Dr. M. S. Sheshgiri College of Engineering and Technology, Belagavi had organised the AICTE-IDEA LAB, a 5-day training programme on 3D modeling, and 3 in 1 machine , under the project of Atma Nirbhar Bharat , for the school students and teachers of KLES' International School, Belagavi.
The minds on training was a moment of reckoning for the participants wherein they learnt the fine intricacies of 3D technology. At KLESIS we endeavor to align education as per NEP 2020 and make education experiential.
The valedictory function was held on 14th June 2022 and was presided over by Chief Mentor/Principal Dr. Basavraj Katageri, Coordinator, Dr. Amith Gadagi(Dept. of ME), Co-coordinator, Dr. Arun Tigadi(Dept. E&C) and the Principal of KLES' International School, Mrs. Dipti Ingley.
The 2 day CBSE Capacity Building workshop on 'Experiential Learning' was conducted on 3rd and 4th June 2022 at KLES' International School, Belagavi. The workshop which was attended by 70 teachers from CBSE schools in Belgaum District, was off to a good start with the rendering of the Saraswati Vandana by Sharadi Hegde and a Bharatnatyam performance by the school troupe.
The CBSE District Coordinator for training, Dr. Manjeet Jain and the City Coordinator for CBSE, Mrs. Laxmi Inchal graced the occasion while the resource people, Mrs. Veena Anil and Mr. Manoj Bhat were instrumental in kickstarting the days proceedings with their repertoire for Experiential Learning. The fine nuances were wonderfully explained with examples and lots of minds on activities. The Bloom's Taxonomy, the smart Learning outcomes, the L.A.A.R strategy along with multiple intelligences and the multi disciplinary approach proved fruitful to the teachers who assured that these tools and techniques would certainly be implemented in their classrooms.

A farewell, signaling the beginning of new avenues and a departure from the secure confines of college life , was organized by the class 11 students for their seniors on 16th March 2022 in the school foyer.
The seniors were given a warm reception by their juniors at the entrance followed by the ramp walk wherein the beauty of each participant was portrayed to the fore ,who were dressed elegantly in their formal best.
Songs, dances and games marked the fun event though the candle march ushered in a flood of fond memories of the bygone days and the setting flipped to an emotional one for a moment.
Principal, Mrs. Dipti ingley, was all praise for the class 12 batch and appreciated their efforts to excel and win and wished them the best in all their future endeavours.
February 28 is celebrated as National Science Day to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect. The theme of National Science Day 2022 is 'Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for Sustainable Future'. The day is celebrated to encourage youth to understand the aspects of science and develop an interest in it.
The students from KLES' International School, Belagavi presented science-related projects and models along with a display of creativity and ingenuity in a special assembly which showcased the benefits of a healthy diet( Street Play), the powerhouse, fuelling our imagination and our Saviour: The Sun (song) and the miracles of science (Dance). A visual display of posters on science and technology was a treat to the eyes and planting medicinal plants, summed up the wide array of activities planned for the day.
Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley appreciated the painstaking efforts of the students and the teachers which definitely created a scientific temper amongst all and acknowledged the fact that a sustainable development and a holistic attitude in conservation of our planet would help in passing over the rich legacy to the future generations.

'Celebrating the 73 rd Republic day with Integrity and Solemnity'
KLES' International School, Belagavi celebrated the 73rd Republic Day with great pride. Also on the occasion of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', the students from classes I to XII performed the energizing Surya Namaskar and also participated in a host of activities; all lined up for the different classes by keeping the patriotic fervour in mind.

'Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat' – Art Exhibition
As part of the ongoing celebrations of 'Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav(AKAM)', the Department of Posts(DoP), Ministry of Communication, along with the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, has proposed the ‘75 Lakh Post Card Campaign’ from 1st December to 20th December, 2021 for students of classes 4th to 12th. The students have to write a Post Card on any of the two topics , “Unsung Heroes of Freedom Struggle” and “My vision for India in 2047" and address it to Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, South Block, New Delhi–110 011. The students of KLES' International School, Belagavi participated in this competition and came up with wonderful ideas and suggestions of their vision for India and also reminisced about the sacrifices of our unsung freedom fighters. The best post cards will be scanned and uploaded on the CBSE portal.
KLES' International School celebrated the Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas) on November 26th 2021. As part of the celebrations, the following activities were carried out to highlight the values and principles enshrined in the constitution.
1. Drawing and Colouring(Grade III and IV –Theme National Symbols)

KLES' International School , Belagavi organized a Toy Mela on 25th November 2021. Students of classes IV & V displayed various creative toys based on Uttarakhand theme like Pahadi Dolls, wooden toys, soft toys, stuffed toys and traditional toys. All the students participated with fervour and enthusiasm.

National unity day, also known as the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is celebrated on the occasion of birth anniversary of Sardar vallabhbhai Patel. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was introduced by the government in the year 2015 by our Honorable Prime Minister Modiji and now this day is celebrated every year on 31st October to honour the life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and his dream of unified India. Because of his strong beliefs he was able to unite the people of India to work as a single unit towards the development of our country. This year, it will be the 144th birth anniversary of the great Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is the day when we celebrate the unity of India in order to pay tribute to the legend of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. We acknowledge the efforts made by him to unite our country.
On this special occasion all the CBSE Schools across the nation Club together for the celebration. The club is EK BHARAT SHRESHTHA BHARAT CLUB. We have a pairing of states to celebrate this program . The pairing for our state Karnataka is Uttarakhand. A pledge is taken to stay united as a team and as a nation and remembers the efforts of Sardar Patel on this day.
A pledge taking ceremony by our beloved Principal Mrs. Dipti Ingley along with the students, HOD’s, teaching and non-teaching staff was conducted. With this pledge taking ceremony various other activities will also be conducted to maintain peace and a healthy environment. The club is headed by Ms.Vijaya J. along with other members of the club Mr. Swapnil T., Mrs. Bharti A., Mrs. Pooja C. and Mrs. Aisha D. The club organised the program with the support and guidance of the principal which was wonderful and the program concluded with our National Anthem.
It was indeed a beautiful start to the much awaited and the most anticipated event of the year. Anubhav 3 organised by Spicmacay. We being the host institution, wanted everything to fall in the right place with the coordination and the arrangements. The workshop on the Odissi dance form by Ms. Vidushi Sujata Mohapatra was a success with the children mainly because of her humbleness, her down to earth
attitude and of course, her jovial nature. All the children took to her instantly and interacted throughout as they wanted to know the fine nuances of the Odissi dance form. The disciples, Shri Soumya Bose and Ms. Debashree Adhikari spared no efforts in bringing out the best in all the children. The children are all eager to gain new insights into this wonderful art and this 5-day workshop will certainly pave the path to preserve and promote our rich culture and tradition.
‘Satyamev Jayate’
Gandhi Jayanti is an event celebrated to mark the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi Jayanti is observed to pay respect and tribute to the legendary freedom fighter, who sacrificed his life for his country. He was against any injustice and a firm supporter of ‘Ahimsa’, ‘Simplicity’ and the importance of ‘Truth’ in one’s life and propagated the same during his entire life.
This year will mark the 152nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and will be observed by the entire world as Gandhi Jayanti and by United Nations as ‘International Day of Non-violence’. It is marked as a National Holiday to remember one of the greatest freedom fighters of India.
KLES’ International School, Belagavi celebrated this momentous occasion by paying tribute to this great leader. A welcome dance by Miss Daksha Bevinmarad (Class V), a melodious song by Miss Sreeya (Class VII)along with a captivating art rendition, a beautiful portrayal of the non-violent principles of Mahatma Gandhi was showcased by Master Atharva Savanur, Miss Veera Jamadade , Miss Ira Prabhu and Miss Varsha Gaddadevarmath and the immense contribution in shaping the ideals of our country by Gandhiji and Lal Bahadur Shastri were reiterated with passion by Miss Ira Prabhu( Class VII) and through the speeches of Miss Aditi Doddanaavar ,Miss Sanvi Gavi and teachers.
ART ALLURE !!! The art exhibition at KLES' International School, Belagavi held on 16th September, 2021, came off with flying colours as the beautiful display was a treat to everyone's eyes! The Director of KLE Society, Dr. V. S. Sadhunavar, along with the Coordinator of KLE schools, Dr. Preeti Doddwad, the Secretary, Dr. B. G. Desai, KLE society Member, Mr. B. R. Patil and the Principal of KLES' School, College Road, Mrs. Sarojini Dengole were the distinguished guests and were all praise for the alluring display of paintings by the students from classes III to XII.
The paintings portrayed a wide spectrum of emotions from tranquility and exuberance to despair and aggressiveness. Nature art, Monuments, Paintings on Deities, Geometrical patterns, Folk art and Abstract paintings were the highlights of the exhibition. The school INTACH club showcased a unique exhibit in the form of 'DHAROHAR' which displayed the ancient artifacts and age old utensils of a bygone era. This manifestation of our cultural heritage too received appreciation from all quarters. Principal , Mrs. Dipti Ingley lauded the contributions made by the students towards the art exhibition and encouraged them to come up with more such innovative and creative art work in the coming days.
The Teachers Day was celebrated on 5th September 2021 by the students of KLES' International School, Belagavi by paying rich tributes to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan and by expressing their heartfelt gratitude to the loving teachers. The highlights were- Powerful speeches that marked the occasion with a sprinkle of fun loving songs, heart warming poems, pretty presentations and a skit , which had everyone in splits; all portraying the valuable contributions of the teacher. The anchors stole the show with their sharp wit and calm and easy going demeanor. The children with this loving gesture made it a day to cherish and regale in, for all the teachers.
KLES' International School, Belagavi celebrated the National Sports Day on 29th August 2021 by inviting, Dr. C. Rama Rao , the Physical Director at Lingaraj College, to enlighten the higher secondary students, on the online platform , the importance of good health, exercise and yoga and meditation in our daily lives. Dr. Rao also spoke about the encouraging scenario in Sports today, with the Government implementing various schemes and strategies to boost the overall participation of our young and talented lot, after the impressive show of our sportspersons in the Tokyo Olympics and also the opening of various sports arenas to rigorously train them for the upcoming Olympics.
A Sports Quiz, ' The Winning Edge', was organized for the students of classes V to XII to commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary Hockey player, Major Dhyan Chand, through the online mode. Paralympics, Summer Olympics, Ancient Olympics and Modern Olympics were the topics reserved for categories ( classes V and VI), ( classes VII and VIII), ( classes IX and X), ( classes XI and XII) and these competitions were held on two consecutive days before the National Sports Day. The winners were awarded the medals and the certificates. The participants too received the participation certificates.
Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley, congratulated the winners and encouraged the students to be aware of the various aspects of sports and be updated about it for their mental and physical well being.
The Sanskrit Day
was celebrated on Shravan Poornima on 21st August, 2021 in an online mode at KLES' International School, Belagavi. The meet was presided over by the Honourable Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley while the guest of honour was Pt. Shri. Dr. Shreeshacharya Namavali. The children celebrated the Day by singing Sanskrit songs, chanting the mantras and the shlokas and presenting speeches on the importance of the Sanskrit Day. The chief guest reiterated the fact about preserving this classical language by being familiar with the fine nuances of it. The principal was proud to announce the introduction of Sanskrit in the daily curriculum and was confident about the school's initiative in creating new pathways to preserve and popularize the Sanskrit language.

The celebration at school was a subdued affair due to the ongoing pandemic. The flag hoisting ceremony along with the singing of the National Anthem was attended by the students online (Classes IV to XII).
The chief guest was Mrs. Indira Shinge, Head Nurse at BIMS. She reiterated the need to inoculate and protect ourselves from the raging epidemic and was confident that we would all face this challenge and emerge victorious.
Teachers gave speeches and sang patriotic songs in recognition of the sacrifices of our legendary leaders.
Tulsi and Neem saplings were planted to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India's Independence.
Various activities were conducted in the primary section in remembrance of the heroic struggle for our Independence.
Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley, in her message wished all a memorable Independence Day and stated that we had to strive together to achieve new milestones in performing our civic responsibilities.

Children enjoy birthdays! Nothing can beat the eye-catching birthday cards, artistic caps, and yummy birthday cakes. Foot tapping dance numbers and birthday songs set the stage for a fun-filled birthday and that is just what the children showered upon Chairman Sir on his 74th birthday! They gifted him a fabulous video with the right blend of fun, laughter, and gratitude. The birthday wishes poured in from all the classes and it was a pleasure to watch these wonderful gifts designed and created by the children themselves.
Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley, and the staff were occupied in a flurry of weeklong activity to make Chairman Sir’s 74th birthday, a memorable one. A sustainable approach in protecting the flora and fauna has been a top priority at KLESIS and a tree plantation drive was organized with each one planting a sapling, to boast a thick and lush canopy in a few years, in the school premises. The charity was also a part of the agenda with donations to the less privileged and the needy that is undoubted, the need of the hour, in these testing times of the pandemic. Food packets were distributed to the patients at the Covid Care Centre in BIMS and at the Chikumbi Math Orphanage.
These activities not only signify the deep love and affection for Chairman Sir but also portray the deep sense of commitment to society which is deep-rooted and is inspired through the actions of the stellar performer, Dr. Prabhakar Kore himself. A birthday wish once again to the greatest doyen of KLE society; bursting with tons of gratefulness, happiness, health, and everlasting hope that our prolific Chairman Sir will ceaselessly continue to motivate us all to contribute substantially to society through our noble deeds. On this 22nd anniversary of the Kargil Vijay Diwas, KLES' International School payed homage to these brave soldiers by presenting a sapling, a greeting card and sweets to Col. R. Khajuria,CO and Col. Aditya Verma, AO of the 26 KAR BN NCC.

Yoga and meditation hold the key to our physical and mental well-being. The International Yoga Day 2021, impacted the young and the old alike with its followers from different strata and different cultures and through its broad spectrum of activities and competitions.
KLES' International School, Belagavi was also a part of this mega celebration with the students and the teachers exhibiting their skills in yoga and meditation.
A beautiful collage represented these poses and postures wonderfully.
The students Krushnali K, Daksha B, Ira Prabhu, Krupashri K and Atharva Savnur showcased their exceptional skills in various yoga asanas through video recordings.
Competitions were held prior to the International Yoga Day and the results were announced on the Yoga Day itself which boosted the morale of the students.
Yoga sessions were conducted for the students and the teachers to sensitize all about the significance of this great day.
The day's events unfolded a plethora of well-planned events portraying the immense benefits of the various aspects of yoga for a calm and composed mind and a flexible and fit body.

The WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY was celebrated on June 5, 2021, at KLES' International School, Belagavi with the students from classes 1 to 10 contributing in a significant way to promote a Sustainable Green World sans pollution and vested motives.
The activities included :
■ Making an Organic bird feeder; Classes 1 and 2.
■ Making a bird house with shoe box or any other box; Class 3.
■ Making a scrapbook of the flora and fauna, in around their houses;
Classes 4 to 7.
■ Identifying the names of 25 plants around the house using google lens;
Classes 8 to 10
The students contributed wholeheartedly to the Environment Day Activity and there were a plethora of digital images overflowing in the media with all the children at their creative best.
The school NCC cadet's celebrated 'World Environment Day-2021' by participating in tree plantation drives, essay writing, and painting to sensitize one and all about the necessity of a clean and green world.
It was indeed a constructive and creative venture by talented students to protect and safeguard the environment for future generations.
We all are indebted to our dear Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley ma'am for always showering us with her abundant love and lessons of life. You are an absolute star when it comes to your motivational talk and guiding us in the right direction. The VANDANARPAN programme is a fantastic platform to instill a sense of pride and satisfaction in all of us and inspire us all to achieve more milestones in our professional as well as personal lives as invariably we are balancing both incredibly well.

National Science Day is celebrated every year on the 28th of February. This day celebrates the notable invention, "Raman Effect" by India's greatest scientist C V Raman. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for this discovery. Since that day, February 28 is being commemorated as National Science Day where it is cherished by all science fanatics.
The theme for National Science Day 2021 is "Future of STI: Impacts on Education, Skills, and Work". The National Science Day 2021 aims to motivate the students to gain hands-on experience in the field of science.
The students of KLES’ International School, Belagavi from grade 6-8, pledged to develop a scientific attitude and safe guard the environmental balance, thus striving prudently to make a mark, world wide in the field of education and technology. Master Pratham Pai from grade 8 delivered the pledge and spoke at length on the need to redefine our commitment to nature and invariably science; the role of the youth in sustainable development and designing great innovations in science and technology for an impressive work culture, in the future.
On this occasion, various models and projects were created and demonstrated arduously, showcasing the zeal of the students and their teachers alike. The primary students too joined this ‘science fare’, online, (model making, hands on experiments etc.) with great gusto, highlighting the scientific inclination to preserve and conserve.
'A Cordial Welcome to the Spirited Lot of PU1'
The PU II students of KLES' International School, Belagavi accorded a warm welcome to their juniors at a dazzling, 'Fresher's Party', on 13th February,2021. The class 12 students despite their busy schedule, whole heartedly put up a splendid show replete with songs, dance and games to make the afternoon a cherished one.
The stage was festooned with colourful balloons, stickers and banners and the hosts, Arpit and Lohith welcomed the radiant youngsters on behalf of the management, Principal and the staff. The will to excel in the competitive world coupled with sheer determination and hard work was the message put across by Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley on this momentous occasion.

KLES’ International School Belagavi, witnessed the celebration of the 72nd Republic Day on the 26th January, 2021. Principal, staff and students participated in the celebration with a feeling of patriotism.
The celebration started with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley followed by the salute and the National Anthem, sung by the staff choir group.
The Principal reiterated the importance of the constitution and advised the students to find opportunities in the upcoming challenges and to upscale themselves.
Thought-provoking speeches were delivered by Mrs. Aisha and Miss Kavya Patil (Grade 8) to celebrate the fact that we all stand as a united force in spite of our differences.
The Inter House Patriotic Group Dance Competition for teachers was organised by the school. The competition began with great zest and excitement. The participants dressed in colourful costumes, twirled around and set the stage on fire with their thrilling performance giving a glimpse of the unity in diversity of the nation.
The first place was bagged by Topaz House and Sapphire House, securing the 2nd place.
Online activities such as *Clay Modelling India flag’ for students of grade 2 and 3 and ‘Tri colour Rangoli ’ for parents and kids of grade1 were conducted.
The program ended with the message to create a great nation through collective efforts from all individuals.
'Ring out the Old and Ring in the New'
A plethora of activities experiencing the essence of love and compassion at KLES' International School, Belagavi. The exuberance and passion shone forth from the wonderful Christmas activities planned by the teachers for their children. The children basked in the spirit of Christmas and were enthralled by the festive fervor.
'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' programme, a one-of-a-kind venture, initiated by CBSE, aims to enhance interaction & promote mutual understanding between people of different states/UTs through the concept of state/UT pairing. The states carry out activities to promote a sustained and structured cultural connection in the areas of language learning, culture, traditions & music, tourism & cuisine, sports and sharing of best practices, etc.
As Karnataka state is paired with Uttarakhand state this year, the child needs to be aware of the diverse cultures of both the states. This awareness was created through a wide array of activities specially designed with the motto of cultural connection and harmony.
Painting, composing poems and essay writing was included in these activities. The children wholeheartedly participated in this unique endeavor and were overwhelmed with the rich and varied culture of both Karnataka and Uttarakhand.
The existence and successful survival of Democracy in such diverse conditions is the most celebrated fact about our country and the constitution is its backbone.
To reinforce the significance of the Constitution the government of India declared 26thof November as Constitution Day on 19th November 2015 by a Gazette notification in remembrance of the Father of Indian Constitution Dr. B. R. Ambedkar
The occasion was celebrated in KLES' International School. The pledge was administered by the students and the staff.
Various activities were conducted for the students. Panel Discussion for classes 7th to 10th was instrumental in creating awareness about the constitution.
Speeches on our constitution were delivered by the students which beautifully showcased the journey of our constitution from history to its present-day form and its vital role in unifying our country and portraying it as an ideal one.
Poster making, Drawing, Painting, Slogan Writing, Fancy Dress, and Elocution Competitions were organized for students from classes 3 to 6. The response of the students was overwhelming.
The events were organized under the supervision of Mrs. Renuka M Nannoji, HOD Social Science Department.

WISHES GALORE ON CHILDRENS' DAY
KLESIS witnessed frenzied activity today what with the Founders Day and the Children's' Day being celebrated on the same day.
The 105th Foundation Year of KLE society. The Founders Day was celebrated at KLESIS with the Principal and staff paying tribute to the Saptarishis who had laid the foundation,105 years ago and made KLE society, a force to reckon with, today by transforming lives through education, health, and research under the able guidance of our beloved Chairman, Dr. Prabhakar Kore.
Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley, and the teachers sent the choicest wishes to the children with superbly crafted e-cards and videos. This gesture was appreciated by the parents and the children alike.
The underlying theme was facing challenging times with resilience, love, and compassion for a better world.
THE GRANDEUR CALLED KARNATAKA RAJYOSTAVA!!!
The Karnataka Rajyostava was celebrated sans children this year due to the ongoing pandemic.
However the staff spared no efforts in evoking the sentiments of valour, patriotism and love for the rich culture and tradition of Karnataka to mark this momentous occasion.

KLES' International school celebrated Independence Day with the traditional religious fervor and zealousness amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. The covid, however, could not dampen the patriotic zest and the Indian high spiritedness.
The school observed all the safety measures of social distancing with no participation of children.
Principal Mrs. Dipti Ingley hoisted the National flag followed by the salute and national anthem sung by the staff.
Online competition singing a patriotic song, fancy dress, and badge making were conducted for students of class 1 and 2.
1st August is the day that is eagerly awaited by all the KLEians to celebrate the birthday of a great humanitarian, a benevolent philanthropist, a multifaceted personality, visionary par excellence, and a pioneer who has redesigned the KLE society to face the challenges of the 21st century. Our beloved Chairman, honourable, Shri. Prabhakar Kore Sir has been the guiding force in all our endeavours and the Principal, the staff, and the students at KLES’ International School, Belagavi, wish him a very Happy Birthday on this joyous occasion.
The school has been instrumental in chalking out an elaborate plan to celebrate this occasion over the years. This year too the arrangements were in full swing with the students coming up with brilliant ideas to write messages and create and design lovely cards to wish our Chairman Sir. This art competition saw the participation of the students in large numbers with innovative ideas and it was a treat to view all the creative art.
The pandemic being the hindrance this year, the tree plantation drive, and the visit to Chikumbi Matt was carried out by the teachers themselves sans children. Food, grains and fruits were distributed to the orphanage as is the norm every year along with the planting of the saplings on this momentous occasion.

‘Today a reader, tomorrow a leader’
KLES International strongly believes in this adage and subsequently celebrated ‘National Reading Week’ from 19th June to 18th July with a lot of zest and enthusiasm.
The wide spectrum of activities which encouraged reading included storytelling, recitation, drawing a cartoon character, designing a book mark, puppetry, pencil sketch of famous author or poet, book review, essay writing, alternative book cover, composing a poem etc. The competitions apart from honing the skills of students, inculcated the habit of reading too, paving the way for a smarter and stronger nation.
Healthy Nature
The students of KLES' International School, Belagavi came up with a novel idea to sensitize everyone about the dire need to save our endangered species on the occasion of World Environment Day.
Miss Veera A. Jamadade and Master Adarsh A. Karkal both from class 6 created inspiring and innovative videos on the threat faced by a few dwindling species. It served the purpose remarkably as the awareness about these animals and plants brought accolades from all corners.
Yoga rejuvenates the soul. A happy soul is a celebration of life. A pandemic has disrupted our lives today and the realization about the preciousness of life has finally dawned.
So let us all cherish the present moment sans worries and doubts and make way for this artistic endeavour called YOGA.

A special assembly was conducted at KLES' International School, Belagavi on National Science Day to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian physicist, Sir C.V. Raman on 28th February, 1928. The theme this year is 'Women In Science' which aims to appreciate the contribution of women in the field of science. The assembly was a success with the science oath administered, conscientiously by the students, presentation on 'Women In Science', a song and dance rendition on the marvels of science and a visit to the laboratories for a general know-how on the mysteries and marvels in science.
Students of KLES' International School, Belagavi visited KLE Dr. M.S. Sheshagiri College Of Engineering and Technology, Udyambhag, Belagavi to attend the Vikram Sarabhai Centenary Programme which was a medley of activities ranging from interaction with scientists, videoshows and selfie corners to a fine display of SLV models and satellites.
The primary class students of KLES' International School, Belagavi were in for a rare treat on National Science Day when the daily occurrences in nature were explained in a scientific way. The demonstrations aroused the inquisitiveness and the interest of these students which triggered a veritable bedlam of ideas. It is these imaginations which create an awareness and ignite the young minds to channelize their energies towards sustainable growth. The day concluded with an interesting and an informative movie on the wonders of science.
The fond farewell to Class 12
The Glorious 71st Republic day was celebrated with lot of vigour and patriotic fervour at KLES’ International school. The Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley hoisted the flag, followed by the National Anthem. The contingent March Past troops gave the guard of honour to the National Flag and The Principal received the salute. There was a well coordinated march past by the Scouts and Guides , NCC cadets , Band and the students of Secondary section guided by Mr. Bhaurao. The Principal reiterated the importance of the constitution and advised the students to be a responsible citizen of India in future.
KLES' International School, Belagavi organised a grand farewell programme based on the theme , 'Journey Around the World' on 22nd January, 2020 where students of class IX bid farewell to the outgoing students of class 10. The function was blend of joy and agony as they will be embarking on an exciting sojourn to explore themselves and at the same time parting their ways with their beloved alma-mater.
A scintillating welcome dance was performed by the students at the beginning of the programme followed by a melodious rhapsody. A very creative short films showcasing the students life in a nutshell was presented by the students of class IX. The programme brought forth an excellent team work and leadership qualities of the students of class IX.
The Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley in her speech wished good luck to the students of class 10 batch of 2019-2020 for their future and appreciated their efforts. She also said that she hopes the students will continue holding top positions in the pursuit of their aspirations and encouraged them to face all the odds as it will make them stronger.
The students of KLES' International School, Belagavi watched the live telecast of PM Narendra Modi's, Pariksha Pe Charcha, in which he advised the students to face challenges head-on and take failures in their stride. He further stated that exams and good marks were not an end in itself. On the contrary, being always positive and motivated, would be the stepping stones to success during such setbacks. He further advised them to attempt the forthcoming board and entrance exams in a relaxed manner to bring out their best talents.

KLES’ International School, Belagavi celebrated its Annual Day on 18th and 19th December, 2019 at JNMC Auditorium. The nine emotions (Navras) expressed in the dance forms were portrayed beautifully by the primary children; the legends of the bygone and the present era were showcased wonderful by the middle school children and the high school children danced impressively to the steps of hip-hop, salsa, jazz. Shri Barchaswa, CEO, Cantonment Board, Belagavi, Air Commodore Krishnan Sundarram(Veteran), Shri H. G Raghavendra Suhasa IPS graced these momentous occasions and were all praise for the exquisite performances. A host of dignitaries added beauty to this prestigious event.
Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley presented the annual report, and elaborated on the achievements of the students of the present academic session. Yet another milestone in global education was accomplished by KLESIS collaboration with the German government and the participation in the Joint Environmental Program (JEM), proved to be major feat in its endeavor to bridge the cross cultural ties.

Karnataka Rajyostav, 1st November, 2019- A day of honour and pride, was celebrated with a lot of vigour and gaiety by KLES’ International School. The day commenced with the hoisting of the flag followed by singing the state anthem. The ‘Naad Geete’ was sung with fervor and made all present, very proud to be a part of this significant day.
Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley, was warmly welcomed with a floral bouquet to mark this prestigious moment along with the Heads of the Department, the coordinators and all the teachers who were the guiding sources for the smooth functioning of the programme.
A classical dance praising the glory of the state was performed beautifully by the students of seventh standard. Students of primary section sung a patriotic song to commemorate the sacrifices of the great leaders. A skit highlighting the pros and cons of usage of the mobile was performed aesthetically by the students of class seventh.
The Kannnada HOD, Mr. Manjunath, conducted the programme wonderfully along with Miss Sharadi Hegde of class sixth. It was overwhelming to see the enthusiastic participation from the students and their teachers.
Homage to benign and benevolent 'Bapuji' and 'Shastriji'
A befitting tribute was paid to Mahatma Gandhiji and Lal Bahadur Shastriji on 2nd October at KLES' International School.
Songs praising the virtues and Spartan life of Mahatma Gandhi was sung by the choir under the able guidance of Sujata ma'am and Elizabeth ma'am.A lively dance performance highlighting the luminous events of Gandhiji's life was performed by the students of class VI and VII which was choreographed by Shiamak Dance Academy.
Principal Mrs Dipti Ingley spoke on the ideals of the great leaders and advised the students to lead life with peaceful co-existence .The day ended with 'shram-daan' by the students and teachers signifying the importance of cleanliness in life.

A health checkup by the JNMC doctors was conducted to sensitize the students of KLES' International School on 22nd and 23rd August, 2019, about the advantages of a nutritious diet and exercise and the disadvantages of junk food and a lethargic way of life.
On the occasion of Sadbhavana Diwas, the students of KLES' International School, took the pledge to live in peace and harmony and work towards promoting brotherhood and serving humanity with love.
Independence day is a day of great happiness for the citizens of India. As we celebrate our 73rd Independence day, the sacrifices made by our great leaders come to the fore. As we reminisce about the glorious years spent in making India, a force to reckon with, we cannot but feel proud to be an Indian and follow the ideals put forth by the greatest minds.
KLES’ International School, Belagavi celebrated the Independence Day with fervor. The children sang the patriotic song which praised India’s achievements in science and technology, not to mention the recent Chandrayaan mission.
The children in their speeches urged all to maintain this pinnacle of success and to be motivated to surge ahead with confidence.

They also visited 'Gurukul' an old age home. It was an overwhelming experience to see the kids being blessed by the pleased residents. Ten kilos of dal and rice was donated on behalf of school.

GLORIOUS SOLEMN EVENTFUL INVESTITURE CEREMONY
The
momentous day of Investiture ceremony dated 11th July
and 12th July 2019, dawned to bestow responsibilities
on the deserving young talents of the KLES'
International School ,to lead their school with their
confidence, commitment and competence.
The KLES' International School held the ceremony with great enthusiasm. The year 2019-20 was an important year for the primary section of the school as the cabinet was introduced for the first time. To inculcate leadership qualities in students, a council of ministers was formed ,on the basis of the elections that was conducted earlier.
The Coordinator of the school, Dr. Preeti Kore Doddwad graced the function on both the occasions. The Chief Guest of the functions were Dr.Padmini Ravindran and Ms. Sasmita Mohanty on the 11th and 12th July respectively. The school choir welcomed the dignitaries with the welcome song and the school dance troupe regaled the audience with their folk dance 'Bihu'. The pinning of the badges, an integral part of this solemn ceremony was done by the chief guests.

KLES' International School, Belagavi in its extreme glory and grandeur, celebrated Scholars Badge Ceremony on 25th and 26thJune 2019. They felicitated the toppers of the school of the year 2018-19.
The eminent Chief Guests of the function were Mrs.V Chitra Shankar and Dr. Prasad Rampure on 25th, 26th June respectively. The chief guest congratulated the students and said that success wasn't always about greatness but about consistency. Consistent hard work surely led to success. Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley, parents and teachers were all praise for these champions and appreciated their success.

Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self. On the occasion of International Yoga Day initiated by our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 21st June, 2015, KLES’ International School celebrated the 5th International Yoga day by conducting various yoga activities like pranayam, asanas and meditation for the students and the staff.A special assembly was conducted where in the Principal Mrs.Dipti Ingley spoke on the benefits of Yoga and advised the students to excel in the field they have chosen.The esteemed chief guests ,Mr. Siddhagiri Murgod and Mr.H.S. Satish were felicitated by the Principal.
The Principal later honoured Mr. Jay Prabhu (Asian Gold Medallist) and Ms. Nakshatra Shetty(National Champion).They showcased their talent and inspired the students.The classes were divided into different groups to perform yoga:-
Students from classes I to III practiced breathing techniques under the able guidance of Mr.Balasaheb and Mrs. Pooja Deshpande. Students were instructed on how Pranayam practiced daily help to reduce anxiety.
Students of classes IV to XII performed various yogasanas like ‘Suryanamaskar, Parvatasan, Dhanurasan’ etc under the able guidance of Yoga instructor Mr. Kishan Thorat.
The KLE Society, an organization dedicated to Transforming Lives through Education, Healthcare and Research is presently in its Centenary Year since establishment. The centenary commemorations have been ongoing over the past one and a half year and have included several events in the academic, healthcare and cultural domains.
SHATAM-2016 is a series of events that commemorate the 100th Year of the KLE Society.
It incorporates the elements of Nritya (Dance), Krida (Play), Natya (Drama) and Kala Kriti (Creativity), participated by thousands of students and staff members of the KLE Family.

titled 'Lingua Mostra' which is a platform for
bringing together expressions of human thought
in the varied and diverse cultural contexts that
have been nurtured and have flourished in many
languages spoken in our cultural milieu. The
fest commenced on 1st September 2015 at 9.15am.
at JNMC Auditorium. The entire festive spirit
was laced with non stop and soul stirring
performances of 300 contestants from 20
different schools in and around Belagavi.
The Chief Guest of the function Dr. Y Manjunatha (Joint Commissioner Excise) and Dr. Preeti Dodwad, Coordinator KLES' English Medium Schools lighted the lamp and inaugurated the function. The other dignitaries present on the dais were Mrs Anupa Kaushik KLE M.M School Gokak, Mrs Anita L Principal Banyan School along them Mrs. Arti Mishra Principal KLES' International School, Belagavi.
With this thought in mind,the dignitaries lighted the Lamp and symbolically inaugurated the function. It was followed by Saraswathivandana and Inaugural Dance asking god to shower his blessing on us. Mr. Rayees Ahmed grade IV introduced the Chief Guest. On this occasion the Chief Guest addressed the vernacular languages took place from medieval times to modern world. He focused on that 40 million people speak kannada language. He also added that 950 million use English language across the globe. It is a window for global communication. He congratulated KLE International School for organising such a fest which will promote the celebration of languages. He advised the students to put in their best efforts without expectation for awards. He praised the participants for their zeal and enthusiasm and for putting up such a wonderful show. He said that the parents must encourage their children in academics as well as co curricular activities of the school. He said that children play an important role in building strong India by facing tremendous challenges of this era. All the audience were spell bound and thrilled with the various performances of the students.
All the participants and teachers were involved in the oath taking ceremony. Dr. Preeti Doddawad officially declared the Lingua Mostra open. The anchoring of the function was done by Master Pratham Pai grade III and Sharadhi Hegde grade II under the guidance of Ms. Apoorva Gudi.
The fest was celebrated in 3 languages English, Kannada and Hindi. Under English Language events that were conducted were Quiz,Turncoat and Streetplay. The judges to judge these events were
Mrs. Shyla Mehta, Mrs. Sushma Bhat and Mrs. Deepa Halapannavar.
Under Kannada Language events that were conducted were Prabandha Sparde, Swarachita Kavana Sparde and Aashubhaashana Sparde. These events were judged by Mr. R S Patil, Mr. B I Medakanatti and Mr. S K Talwar.
Under Hindi Language events that were conducted were Vaad Vivaad Pratyogita, Bhaktiras Kavita Path, Pradarshith Vigyaapan Lekhan Pratyogita. The judges to judge these events were Dr. Kalpana Bajpai, Smt. Varsha Kargar and Dr Ramesh Suje. The judges were the masters of their respective languages.
