I. In the 1st Inter Dojo karate championship held on February 10th, 2024, at Belagavi:

  • Master Ishaan Herwadkar of grade 3 displayed exceptional skill by clinching the rolling trophy of Flying Feet Sports Academy as the 2024 Kata competition champion.
  • Miss Yuti R Shanbhag of grade 1 demonstrated prowess by securing the 3rd place in the Kumite u/sub-junior category and the 1st place in kata.
  • Master Yug R Shanbhag, a grade 3 student, emerged victorious by clinching the 1st place in the Kata u/sub-junior category.

  • Master Ninad Misale grade 5 excelled in the Shri B L Fernandes Memorial Open Table Tennis Tournament held at Lions School, Vijayanagar, Hubballi, on February 10th and 11th, 2024, securing the 3rd place in the U/15 age category and the 1st place in the U/11 age category.
  • Master Pranav Lokesh grade 5 earned a Certificate of Appreciation for his commendable performance in the Judicial Cycothon 2024 organized by the Judicial Employees Association, Belagavi. He successfully completed the 10 km cyclothon held on February 10th, 2024, at Belagavi.

It was a privilege to welcome Shri B. Nagendra, the Honorable Minister of Sports for the Karnataka State, to KLES' International School on December 12, 2023, for the Vihaan Foundation U/11 Football Knockout Tournament 2023. A total of 8 teams participated in the tournament. The matches were a delight to watch and the winner's trophy was bagged by KLES' International School, Belagavi while the runners up trophy was bagged by St Xavier's High school.

Yoga Triumph

Miss Daksha Bevinmarad, an Grade 8 student, emerged victorious by securing the First prize in the solo Bharatanatyam Yoga Competition held on June 16, 2023, at KLE Shri B. M. Kankanwadi Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Shahapur Belagavi. Additionally, she also clinched the Second prize in the artistic yogasana pair category.

Similarly, Master Atharava Savanur, another Grade 8 student, showcased his talent by securing the Third prize in the solo Bharatanatyam yoga competition and the Second prize in the Artistic yogasana pair category.

Miss Krupashri Kakatikar, a Grade 9 student, demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication. She attained the First prize in the Rhythmic yogasana pair competition and the Second prize in the yogasana competition. These young individuals have showcased their remarkable abilities and dedication in the field of yoga and Bharatanatyam, earning well-deserved recognition and commendation.

Master Advait Dalvi from class V had participated in CBSC NATIONAL SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP 2022-23 held at Genius English Medium School, Rajkot, Gujarat from 20th January to 23rd January 2023.

Advait represented KLES’ International School, Belgaum, from South Zone II, and dominated the 50 mtrs. Back Stroke event (under 11) by winning the gold medal and clocking a time of 39:24 seconds. More than 500 swimmers from across India had participated in this event.

Advait’s parents, Mr. Babasaheb Dalvi and Mrs. Priyadarshini Dalvi have been his guiding force in all his endeavors. Advait dedicatedly practices at KLES’ Suvarna JNMC Swimming Pool (Olympic Size) Belagavi.

KLESIS Group A scored 159 runs and defeated KLESIS Group B by 63 runs in the U-12 category while the ĶLESIS won the match against KLS School in the U-14 category.

Master Raees Ahmed Khan studying at KLES' International School, Belagavi, from class 11, had participated in the 5th Late Madanbhav Patil Memorial One Day Open Rapid Chess Tournament at Sangli on 3rd December 2022 and secured, 'The Best Player in Maharashtra' along with a trophy and cash prize of Rs.550.
**Raees Ahmed's other achievements include**
1. The 28th prize in the Open category (Cash prize of Rs.500 ) at the 1st Sripad Kulkarni memorial fide Rapid Rating Chess Tournament in Kolhapur on 4th December 2022.
2. The 2nd prize (Cash prize Rs.1250 ) at the 2nd Sripad Kulkarni Memorial Open Fide Rating Chess Tournament ( 5th to 8th Dec. 22) in Kolhapur and secured 'The Best Below rating 1300 players'.
3. The 25th Prize in the Open category with a trophy and Cash prize of Rs. 3000 at the 5th Kudremukh trophy All India Fide Rated Rapid Chess tournament in Manglore from 10th to 11th December. A wonderful performance indeed for which Raees Ahmed has been applauded by Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley and the staff of KLESIS.

State Level Open Sea Swimming Competition 2022

Surfing the wave of success!!!

Master Anish Pai (Category- Boys group 2) won the first place at the 12th State Level Open Sea Swimming Competition 2022 held at Chivla Beach, Malvan and organised by Sindhudurg District Aquatic Association. He swam a distance of 2km and clocked it within17 min 30 sec. He was awarded 'The Fastest Swimmer' trophy along with a cash prize of Rs. 3,000 for this superb win.

Miss Ananya Pai (Category-Girls group 3) was awarded the second place and won a cash prize of Rs. 2,500 in the same event. She swam a distance of 3km in 41 min 25 sec.

The Principal and staff applauded the duo for their outstanding achievements.

Master Ishaan N. Herwadkar, studying at KLES' International School, Belagavi, has made all proud with his admirable feat of representing the Karnataka state at the National Level. He recently won the bronze medal in the Kata category and is the first in this category (age group- 7 years) to achieve this exceptional performance.

Recently he had participated in the Shivamogga Open 3rd International Karate Championship-2022 held at Nehru Indoor Stadium, Shivamogga Dist, Karnataka on 20th & 21st August 2022 and was placed second in the Individual Kata (BLUE BELT).

Ishaan boasts of another victory to his credit as he secured the gold medal in the Kata event at the 13th State Level Karate Championship 2022 held on 5th and 6th November 2022 at Koramangala Indoor Stadium, Bengaluru.

Master Avyukt M. Bhandari participated in the 4th All India Invitational National Karate Championship-2022, organised by Shine Sports Karate Academy Laxmeshwar, held on 31st July 2022 at Gadag under the 7 to 8 age category.

He was awarded the III place in Kata and the II place in Kumite.

Master Samedh Kanagalli from KLES' International School, Belagavi, had represented Belgaum, in the 37th State Roller Skating Championship 2021-22 Speed Skating (age group -5 to 7 Cadet Boys), held at City Skaters Arena, Bengaluru from 25th to 28th November, 2021 and secured the second place in the Event: Rink III (Discipline: Quad and Distance:3 laps/4 laps/ 1000m).

Miss Avani Sanikop of Class VI and Master Amolratna Suryavanshi of Class lX have been selected for the U 14 (Girls & Boys) Belagavi District team , Belgaum District Football Association (BDFA) to participate in the State Mini Olympic Games - 2022 which will be held at Bangalore from 15th May 2022 to 21st May 2022.

The Mega event will be organised by the Department of Youth Empowerment & Sports and Karnataka Olympic Association. Earlier in the month BDFA played the State Mini Olympic Qualifiers matches against Dharwad District Football Association & Bagalkot District Football Association and emerged winners in both the matches which was held at Belagavi and organised by BDFA.

Swim for Success and Glory!!! Master Advait Dalvi(Grade 4) studying at KLES' International School, Belagavi has secured the silver medal in BackStroke, 100 meters (1:30.41), at 37th-Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championships -2021 in Boys Group- V organized by Swimming Federation of India held at Bangalore from 19th October 2021 to 23rd October 2021.

Swimming Stories!!! Master Advait Dalvi has secured a silver and a bronze medal and Master Anish Pai has secured a bronze medal in 50 mtr. Breaststroke event at the NRJ State Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior Aquatic Championship 2021-22, organised by Karnataka Swimming Association at Bangalore from 23rd to 28th September 2021.
Advait Dalvi has got selected for Glenmark 37th Sub-junior and 47th Junior National Aquatic Championship 2021-22 to be held at Corporation Swimming Pool, Basvangudi, Bangalore from 19th to 23rd October 2021.

CALMING THE CHAOS!!!
KLES' International School was in the limelight once again with the students winning prizes in various online Yoga competitions.
Master Atharv G. Savanur (Grade 6) secured the 10th position with his fabulous win in the INTERNATIONAL LEVEL YOGASANA PHOTO CONTEST COMPETITION 2021-2022. A force to reckon with, no one could defeat Atharva in the following competitions conducted by KLE Ayurvedic College. He secured the following prizes in the different categories:
1st place - Solo Bharathnatya Yoga Competition
2nd place- Couple Rhythmic Competition
Similarly Atharva bagged the second prize in the Musical Yoga Competition conducted by Shri Devraj Academy of Higher Education Kolar , Karnataka.
